People say that P3s are the best subwoofer out right now for under 200 dollars..but everyone else suggests Orion or Type R's and audioque..

Im just trying to find something better than what I had which was two 12" P3 and a 3500w boss audio amp...Im prolly gonna go with the Type R's and a AQ1200D..i was just wondering though why everyone said that.

I highly doubt that boss amp is putting out 3500watts...you might just be happy going with the new amp and keeping the P3's and maybe putting them in a different box. You'll save a lot of money, unless you're hell bent on getting the Type R's

Ive already sold the P3s and amp. I got 400 for all of it..I was looking for a new setup..not trying to go over 600 dollars.

With Boss equipment you have to remember to knock a "0" off of the "rating". Then you have to take into account that the rating you have now is with square wave clipping. Halve that number to get the unclipped output. Your 3500 watt amp puts out a total of 175 watts. Have fun with that.

Your best bet is probably going to woofersetc.com or sonicelectronix.com and finding something there...or hell even ebay or craigslist in your area. CA.com and caraudioclassifieds.org also have great deals from time to time.

Whatever you find, it'd be best to post here what you're thinking about getting...

If you really want the type r's and the AQ1200d, then go for it man

He's probably talking about people local to his area, like his friends or something (maybe even the dealer of his local audio shop)...$200 for a P3 is pretty expensive IMO, unless those P3's are something special that we all don't know about.

FYI...I've never heard anyone say P3's were the best at anything or for the price
