How can i get enough power for electrical system? Expert needed

Hello audiophiles.

I have an obscure question / problem. Trying to power an alpine 3535 amp and two lights with a floating round setup. Its nothing extravegant four four ohm speakers in parallel pairs. The tuner will be of walkman type self powered.my delema is the altenator, this is where the knowlegable person is needed. I can get it to put out 13 - 14 volts till amp is powered on then it dropx to around 8 volts. Is there a circuit that can be added to boost this voltage / current enough to power amp and keep a battery charged?

Thank you

What is a Floating round setup?

What is this in? A Vehicle? Outside?

What is an Alpine 3535?

Two lights? what kind of lights? What are the specs on them?

alternator is dropping 6v? What battery(ies) are being used?

Is this even a real thread?

Hey, floating ground to isolate it from the ignition. Each gets its own power and ground connection. It an old magneto system the power coil produces 18volts ac. I been trying different rectifiers and can get up to 13 volts amps unknown. The latest will keep it powered while at cruise. Im limited for battery space, its a two wheel ride and have yet to buy new till im sure this will work. Using old ones laying around. Are there smaller batteries that work for audio purposes like this, deep cycle?

Its an alpine in the 3500 series its i stalled and difficult to access for exact number. Lights are 2 1156 bulbs.

A dream within a dream i should think any seasoned audiophile would know this song.

Generally road bikes have enough juice to power 50w some much more

You could add a larger battery and just watch the voltage and turn it down when it gets low

Or what would be better imo would just use a head unit with 12rms X 4

Why do you want to keep everything isolated?

What is your final ground point for your alt setup and battery

hello tymoto,

i have been at this project for a while and some where along the way the floating ground got incorporated. it made progress so i kept it. im thinking it has to do with the bike. its not a road bike its a custom. two types combined to get one working bike. head unit? helmet? dont use one and i despise wires , they get tangled or broke. the ground circuit goes from stator coil to half wave diode on to battery then to (separately) amp, headlight and tail light but tail light hasnt been hooked up yet. last night i had the best run so far. it probably is the battery size. im limited for space so i got a small sla (12v 4.6ah i think its wraped up ) several months ago , may have over charged it. cycling it may have brought it back ie last night but no lasting duration. couple miles at 90% volume. noisey bike. attached is original schematic but not all the acceseries as i said are used. one coil is ignition one is lights etc.
