how big of a difference between BA Pro60s and Z6?

just wondering how big of a difference is there between these 2 sets, Z6 would be used, pro60s new, Z6s will cost a little bit more

amp is orion 8002, does 200x2@4ohms 400x2 @2ohms, both sets are 3ohms so ~300rms per side whihc ever i get, i had the pro's before and liked them, so just wondering if Z6s are a good bit better and still louder

Bama I have HEARD, from two different sources, that the Pro 60's are actually better than the Z6's. The first time I was told that was in a shop that sold both. The second time was here -- I THINK that it was Blue that said it that time. IIRC, his theory for why this was so was that the Z6's are based on older technology than the 60's. I don't know whether either of these guys are correct. And I am fairly certain that a lot of people think that Blue does not know as much as he thinks he does.

Obviously I am not suggesting that you make a decision based on the above, lol. But you may want to see if you can find that old thread and see how much that was discussed.

I much prefer the Z6.

Just a better all around sound IMO. Better midrange clarity and more natural sound.

im looking for LOUD and clear, natural is not as important

it would be about 50-60$ difference between a set of pros on ebay and the Z's

Z's are looking like the option right now

For that small of a price difference, I would definitely go with the Z's.
