how are these numbers??

ok so i worked on everything on my car and so far everything is running great...i got a digital multimeter to test everything out and these are my numbers:

when the car is off my battery is seating at around 12.28 volts

when i turn the car on my battery is running at about 13.70 volts

when i crank my music up all the way (or at least the loudest i would listen to it) it drops to about 12.18, 12.18 was when i had the headlights and dome lights on. it was about 12.28 with all the lights off.

i thought these numbers were fairly good seeing as though im running on an orbital deep cycle battery, stock alt, and big 3....tell me what you guys think

cool thanks....btw i just thought i would put it out there, i got rid of the cap and my system seems to be doing just fine if not better....so i am officially a believer that they are pointless lol

your resting voltage should be like 12.5+

cool this is why i want you guy's advice because i was going to get a red top optima battery today since the battery i have now was used when i bought it, and purchased like 3yrs ago

nothing powerful.....only a 500/1 jl audio amp and an alpine 4 channel i forgot the model number but its nothing extreme
