How come i see alot of videos with people hookin in their subs and hookin them up to house outlets, what exactly is that???,, wont that fuk up your subs?

yes usally in the videos you'll see some sparks too its like giving the sub somewhere around 3kwatts I believe, at 60hz. Its a good way to kill a sub but a don't try this at home message should go with those videos

They're usually trying to fry the sub or are showing off how much power their subs can handle. It depends on the resistance how much power it puts out, @ 1ohm it flows 14400w I believe.

haha, well i have a little house sub that can hold like 500 watts, and i want to hook it up in my box i got lying around and then video tape it.... i would love to see some sparks, and maybe some fire...
