i live in texas, and if i pop my trunk, after my car has been sitting there not on in the sun, my amps are hot to the trunk, almost burning. Is that ok?

Yup, your best option would be some thermal insulation, or to start parking in the shade. I feel ya, Texas heat isn't a joke...
