Hood Prop for Car Shows???

I don't know how many of you do car shows, but I am looking for good ideas for hood props for my Blazer for shows...

We have to prop our hoods open usually atleast 6"-8" so the jusges can see that we have an engine and its clean also to show off any detail or custom work...

All I have it the normal factory (4Foot) Hood Prop, and I was kinda looking for some ideas...

After my ride is bagged, I was thinking about using a spare AirBag, but I dunno I think thats kinda weak....

Any Ideas?

I've seen people use a coil spring and paint it the color of the vehicle.

ive always like the coil idea, maybe some with motion? like an acuator so u can control the hood from a distance... that would be kinda trick if u could do it

Hmm, your running XXX's right? Make a wood XXX logo cutout and paint it to match your car.

Make a strong flat piece of fiberglass and cut out a design you like, ^^^XXX, a bowtie, S-10, whatever you like.

you could use a trophie,

but if you have a 5th wheel like your other 4 then you could use that, i like this idea better.

The trophies I have are as tall as the stock hood prop and taller, cept for the 3 or 4 plaques that I got...

I don't have a 5th wheel, but I'd like to get one, just as a spare even...

I was thinking about maybe 2 Neon Tubs, but I think that might look Ricey or cheap....

****, I need to use the 6 that I got....

I am making progress though...

I just took my passenger seat out (temporarly), took back seats out (for good), took out my whole sub enclosure/amp rack (selling it), to start the process of doing the Airbags,,, I have to talk to the installer this weekend, to firm up some plans and order the stuff to build my 4 link, then hopefully sometime next week it'll go in the shop and when it come out, I'll be Hittin the Switches......

After that, I start on the new System again!!!!! I only need a few things for that... Some RCAs, a Line Driver, a few more LCDs and RE to come on with the 6.5" Componments.... They are holding me up... I want 2 Sets.... Really I want 3, but thats pushing it...

Build a model car that looks just like yours and use it, Or get you a removable stearing wheel, or a muffler, or a block of wood , or a *****,

I slang rocks... Wanna get a 20 cent peice... J/K J/K all legit here...

I work many many hours as a lowly Network Engineer....

Usually about 55+ Office hours, +on call 24/7 and several overnights a month to do network changes, upgrades, etc,,, I have over 180,000 residential Internet customers and a few 1000 Business customerts, many connecting via Fiber...

Very stressful, but it lets me pay my bills and still have a few beans left to do a few things to the Blazer. However, it still takes awhile... It feels like I have been talking about doing the wall and airbags for like 4 years, when I've only had the truck for a year and a half....

If you're up for a lot of work you could take two amps (or well cases of amps) and make a hydraulic lift system, one arm from each amp on either side to life the hood.
