hood pop broken

when i pull the lever below the dash to pop the hood on my explorer, the hood doesnt pop...how do i get my hood open??!!

i had this problem before so all u do is just bang on tha hood till it pops open and dont bang on it too hard.....it should work...

is it really loose? it might just be that the wire came out of the lever

the wire didnt come out of the lever and also i tried the banging thing...its not working

so now i know how to get into explorer's isn't thier a safety opener incase you have a body in the back?

Just reach up from under the front bumper, between the bumper and radiator. Find the end of the cable, which will be hooked into a metal tab on the release. Just push that metal tab, which is normally pretty easy, and it should pop open. If that doesn't work, you're going to have to find the cable above the wheel well, cut the housing, and pull the shit out of the cable with a pair of good pliers.
