domestic cars do not offer the most for your money. Most are good until 100k and thats it, then they fall the f@ck apart. Hondas last 200k. just cuz a bunch of losers mod em up doesnt make the car ****. its the ricers that ****. what company has the best resale value and the best overall rating?

you are the minority my friend. I have owned 3 chevys and 3 fords and after 100k they fell APART. Problems galore. I was fixing them every weekend. Finally I woke up and smelled the imports. Ive owned 2 toyotas and 1 honda (which i drive now), all of which reached 150k with absolutely no problems at all.

minority huh?? i can rattle off a dozen or so domestics with at least 150 k running strong, 4 or 5 with close to 200 k and 1 s-10 with the 2.8 v-6 that has over 300 k and the ac even works, it's only been recharged once! there is a 96 z-28 camero next door with 157k and it still has one factory spark plug in it( they can't reach it to change it). my wife's company has several chevy vans with well over 100k, most have had just brakes and tires replaced. my - bro-in-laws firebird had the 2.8 v-6 with 150k + b4 we dropped in the 305(which had 175k on it b4 we rebuilt it for the firebird). the 2.8 still runs, don't smoke and hasn't had the oil changed for 20k miles!

so u had bad luck with domestics and good with imports. when i was in high school, we had a 84 honda civic 5 spd. the ****** tore up twice in 6 months...not the clutch...shifting fork and some rubber band thing. at the time my dad had a 78 dodge coronet w/318 and auto ******...close to 175k and all it need was shocks.

u win some, u lose some...all manufactories are making quality vehicles...they just depend on personal preference and a few people who have had problems in the past w/ other rides to sell theirs.

anyway, just thought i'd say that!

my dads ranger has 160,000+ miles and has had no major problems, just replaced things like head gasket, timing belt....no biggies

I know how that is. My s-10 when we first bought it had 275,000 miles on it. It still ran great, but it burned a little. The reason for that is because the previous owners beat the shit out of it. i drove it for another 3000 miles before we restored it.

Actually I personally dont car about any of those. I dont care how fast my car is. Whats the point in putting so much money into a car to make it fast and uncomfortable while there are these things called speed limits. Then when you want to take your car to the strip, you have to pay to run it. Stupid if you ask me. I hate most Jap imports because they are made by japs and they are mieces or crap. Just my opinion.

ok those 2 arent rice. rice is a 1.4 liter engine like in my civic being butchered into some piece of shit that is as loud as a goped. rice means that it was terribly slow when it is factory bought, and then people try to mod it. the 350z and the s2000 arent rice in my dictionary. i hate rice rockets. why dont these people just go buy a fast car in the first place? its almost like they are trying to make a point or somethin.....

well they arent made to go fast. they are made for daily driving. imports are good cars, they will last you forever. they are just slow as ****. why try to make them fast? "oooooohhh but they are so light!" who gives a flying ****? i have more displacement in my pants than there is in a honda engine
