Well I dont normally come to CA.com to make life decisions but Im bored so here is the question....

Im in the market for a reliable daily commuter car and theres two that sparks my interest.

1) A 92-96(Fourth Gen) Honda Prelude(Manual *****)

2) A 98-04(Second Gen) Dodge Intrepid(Automatic)

I know its sort of a weird comparison but those are the 2 that catches my eye.

I'm looking for a car that will Last/Reliable, Easy to Work on, and ofcorse Safe to drive.

With that being said which option would you guys chose? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

Your comparing a compact to a full size car.
Thats why I said its a weird comparison. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

granted the honda is probly going to be your best choice in every way.... I still like the dodge. I got one as a rental once, and it was pretty nice...however the honda is better in every way. get the honda

honda will probably be a better daily driver and is probably less likely to crap out on you even if it's older...but there are many differences in the vehicles, depends on what you need i guess...

i'd go with the dodge because of size, im a big dude and need my room, a prelude would be my nemesis on a daily basis...

honda prelude owns a dodge intrepid thats not even a fair comparison... but if youre looking at a dodge id look into a stratus instead of an intrepid. newer stratus is a pretty reliable car.

prelude probably, what trim level is it? if you're planning to do mods to it and its not a SI or VTEC i wouldn't even bother. Theres no point in swapping a motor into a vehicle when you can just buy the vehicle that way from the factory.

stratus = horrible horrible interior quality.

If you want a big audio system while maintaining luggage space, I would go with the Intrepid.

That Honda would have zero space left after an audio system with a decent sub was installed.

I've owned Hondas in the past, and yes they are definately great cars, but the cost of original equipment parts is absurdly high.

Reliable and last forever and safe, you're basically describing a Honda man, lol
You'll also have shit tons more fun in that Prelude vs that intrepid, intrepid is a little shit hole
i think the intrepids are actually decent cars. but i wouldn't want one
