I know that Hondas and Toyotas are very reliable cars, but how are Nissans? Are they on par with them? A notch below? I am buying a new car, and will most likely buy one of these automakers...Thanks

My girlfriend has a 2006 Altima. I guess a lot of them have problems, and hers does too. Theres a recall on the excessive oil consumption and her car uses about 1.5-2 quarts of oil every 1000 miles or so.

I think for the most part that Nissans are reliable vehicles.

at least it's not on the timing belt and oh yea no belt for timing it uses a chain.
