Honda 6.5" speaker suggestions

Looking for suggestions for speakers that will fit in both me and my friends Honda 6.5" door openings they seem more like 6" openings. My Boston's I had laying around are too big for my CRV and not really wanting to start cutting the panels if I can find something that will drop right in.

Cars are:

2001 Civic - Stock 6.5" components, she wants something better than the stock but not spend a ton, will be run off aftermarket deck no amp.

1999 CRV - Looking for something under $150 shipped. Possibly throw one of my amp's them later but not sure how long I will keep the car so prob just run them off aftermarket deck.

Anyone know of anything decent that fits in the stock openings?

What size should I be looking for though, are they 6.25 or 6? They are listed as 6.5 but that doesn't fit.

For good cheap components, look up the Phoenix Gold RSD65cs on woofers etc. Amazing performance (especially midbass) for an unbeatable price.

and don't believe what crutchfield says will fit your vehicle, because they don't take creativity and elbow grease into account.

In that price range, look at the ARC KS 6006. Great budget speakers and are efficient enough to run off the headunits power.
