It would help to know what kind of speakers/ohm loads

I personally like ONKYO

Their lower end stuff is great for the money.

They have a great home theatre in a box.;

Get a B&K Seriously, Sony makes decent recievers in that bracket, can even find some really good deals on ebay for DENON. Very clean and good features/power for the money. Also, denon's can handle 6ohm speaker loads, which a lot of receivers in the price range cannot.....my $.02

2. Denon isnt cheap and they are ugly

3. who in the hack has 6ohm speakers, not a vaild selling point IMO
