Not killed, but seriously injured because of the seat belt. My father had a wreck in the early 80's. Some one hit him in the drivers side door. The seat belt actually broke his collar bone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif he has been tickeeted multiple times since, but he still flat out refuses to ever wear one again //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I have bride seats with a 5 point harness. I got into an accident at about 40mph I didnt even move, no whiplash or anything. On a side note, I knew someone who was wearing their seatbelt, somehow he got into an accident and a pole went through his windshield and since he was wearing his seatbelt he couldnt move his head and the pole dismantled his head.

Well they said that he would of been thrown from the car if he wasnt wearing his seatbelt instead of the pole hitting him. So I guess you have a better chance of living being ejected from a car opposed to a pole taking off your head.

bri- whats so bad about racing seats?

try driving 300-400 miles in on, it sucks. there is a reason they are made for racing and not for everday street cars.

my cousin got in a wreck a long time ago in illinois. they went into the guard rail at a good speed, the rail went through the car and through my cousins stomach. they did surgery, and they werent sure what was going to happen afterwards. there were no guarantees. day by day he healed and things got back in the right spot. thank god he is still here today. thats probably the worst suvivor wreck i know of.
