If it's not the 64 bit version you're wasting about 3/4 of a gig.

Yeah I know. Vista reads 3.5gb.

It was actually cheaper to buy the 4gb kit then buy a stick of 1 and 2gig.

I believe it was ~$65 from Newegg. Bought 4gig kit for myself and 2gig kit for g/f's laptop.

Haven't looked in 2 years. Last time I upgraded RAM was from 1GB to 2GB in my desktop. For a 2GB kit of DDR-500 it was ~$120 I wanna say.

Wow, that is cheap. Then again it is always cheaper when you aren't buying enthusiast overclocking RAM. I like OCZ stuff personally.

Compared to like Crucial and Corsair yes, and IMO OCZ makes the best RAM on the market, best power supplies too.

My friend uses Vista 64bit with 8GB's of RAM (and a quad core)
Its fast lol

I have vista 64 bit with 4 gigs of ram and a quad processor

Its awesome.

I have 1gig on my home PC, which is about 3 years old now, runs decent with XP.
Put 4gb in my lappy, which runs pretty fast w/ Vista.

Yeah I know! seems outrageous looking back on when I built my first PC..

Makes me want to build one again, but a new car takes priority.

Yea, for me my desktop is still plenty fast. Athlon64 X2 4400+, 2GB RAM, 1TB HDD space, works for me.
