i think giving mods power to ban is a bad idea. that would cause such a shit fest and uprising once someone got axed would have a reall live E-war.

Absolutely not.

It's been discussed before in detail and all of the moderators are in favor of a system where everyone agrees, and one where guidlines are strictly followed.

A temporary suspension of the account would occur, followed by a discussion and opinions from all moderators - the Administrator always has the final say.

Trust me ... despite popular opinion, most of the moderators are here to make this an enjoyable place for the members by "removing the trash."

I like how diymobileaudio.com forum has this little deal where you can give say...praise for a good comment. It has a part where you can add to a poster's reputation. It allows for some degree of quality of posts, not quantity of posts.

I sugguest the appointment of one super moderator, to be voted for like any other mod every 6 months. This member can handle whatever needs to be done while Goob is away.

Also, perhaps find a way to shorten the state by state dealer list. It seems like an overwhelming number of forums.
