Hole in surround

Today I was putting one of my 15 Se's in a box and my screwdriver slipped and went through my surround...I felt sick to my stomach...I'm thinking maybe melt it somehow and like weld it together...or maybe there's some type of flexible epoxy stuff...anyone with any expierience with something like this have a suggestion?

Just put epoxy on it. Dont melt it. LOL, thats perty funny.

I used Fingernail polish, it was suggested on another forum to some other guy. Worked really well.

yep...I poked a 1/2 inch hole in my brahma and I used silicon to patch it up. Works like a champ, but I cry everytime I look at the the hole I made...

you can try rubber cement. something that is strong and flexible is preferred.

seek-a-flex is the best it's like a rubber caulking that's black so put it behind the hole.

I'll second the silicone idea...that's what I ended up doing with my pioneers a few years back when the screwdriver slipped.

I'll second seconding the silicone. It's just caulk, so it should be handy at the time it slips, just work it on both sides of the surround and call it good. Maybe paint it. Worked on my SPL sub like a charm.
