Hole in my surround!!!

I was putting my subs in my new box, and drilling them back in. The drill slipped and I punched a hole in the surround. How bad is this? It is a slit that goes all the way across the foam surround, from the outside of the sub, towards the center(if that makes a difference). Will it eventually get worse, making me have to get a new sub(they are kinda cheap so it isn't a big deal anyway), or is there anyway I can fix it? Any help would be appreciated.

Like door and window silicone? How would I go about doing something like that?

Thats what I have always used, it is flexible and should work fine. How ever I have never used it on a hole that big, but think it should work.

I used hot glue on an old MA of mine.. bought it brand new and when I was putting it in the drill slipped and put a hole all the way though it.. pretty big too. Couldn't tell a problem but it was a cheap sub. I always hear silicone is good

I use it on the underside if possible so it wont show...

I have used the black silicone you buy at auto part stores. Works OK for a repair. I know how that sux, I think most of us have done it at one point or another.
