Hole drilling for power wire question

Hi there, I'm still learning about audio. An audio shop I am considering only drill their own hole for the power wire rather than using an existing grommet. I guess they had an incident where they push the power wire in an existing grommet on a Honda and caused damage to other nearby wirings. In the end, they ended up shelling tons of $$$ and changed policy. Is it better to drill a separate hole? Has anyone heard of this happening?

I had to drill through my firewall to get 1/0 wire to my trunk.. it shouldn't be an issue at all.

Just make sure they put a new grommet & install the wire through it, not just a bare metal hole.
