So everything in my car was ripped off. Subs, amp, and cd player(got one now tho) were all gone. During this time of destitute lonliness from thundering bass, i became desperate. I asked a friend if he would sell his old hifonics amp to me. It was a brutus 1205, but he wasnt sure if it worked.
So I got around to trying to power it, come to find something inside was blown. So I called up CIA Engineering (the number i got from maxxsonics) to see how much it would be to get fixed. I was told over the phone by the owner probably about 65 dollars + shipping, but it would probably be 2 weeks before they even get around to it.
I talk to my friend, and tell him I'd give him 100 for the amp, considering I'm going to spend 70 or so getting it fixed. He says thats fine.
Probably a month later, just recently, I finally get around to shipping the amp. 2 days later I check on the tracking ID to see where its at.
It had been delivered, but I never recieved a call from CIA after that.
Well yesterday they called me finally, telling me they had already fixed my amp and my bill is 135$. I give them my debit card number and pay.
I go see my friend at work today an tell him how much it cost me to get the amp fixed. So he says what do I want to do about it.
I say "well theres 2 options, I already paid 135 to get it fixed, so how about I give you another 40, and the amp belongs to me. OR you give me 100, i'll take a 40 dollar loss and its your amp again."
He says "The least I'd take for the amp is 100. Call the place since they never authorized you were ready to pay that price"
So basically my problem is, will the repair shop give me my money back since I didnt really want to spend that much?
Cuz 100(friend)+135(repair)=235=brand new amp
Or should I just bite the bullet?
