hmmm, kicker 1250.1 turned off at high volume, help?

I have a kicker 1250.1 that i installed for the first time today and when i turn my head unit up to high volumes it shuts off for a few seconds and then comes back on, any ideas? i wired the subs to a one ohm load and the amp is 1 ohm stable.

Voltage drops, ground issue, clipping, protection mode, could be a multitude of things...

your electrical system cant keep up with the huge draw...or , it coult be clip protect, but i highly doubt that

Actually I was thinking, the car wasn't started when I was bumping, I only was getting 11.6 volts at low volume, maybe the voltage dropped because it was up so high and the amp went to protect?
