before i go out and spend money.. let me get a few opinons

I'm looking for a new project, since i have a good sub, good amp... I need something else to occupy my time... Should I try to SQUEEZE A BIT MORE POWER AND A BIT MORE BOOM OUT OF MY SETUP... (which is in my sig) OR Try improve the sound quality... (which components, maybe a lower tuned box, etc.)

MIND YOU, this is in a 91 blazor that i'm not sure how long i'll have...

Should I:

~ Do the big 3, upgrade my wire from 4guage to 2 or 0 guage, buy a new battery, and purchase a decent HO alternator...

(approximate cost for all this would be appreciated)

OR

~ Buy components, buy some kick panels, buy an amp to run the components...

(approximate cost for all this would be appreciated)

Thanks!

Depends. Which one are you LEAST happy with? I know from your other thread that you feel you can get more out of your sub, but how do you feel about your comps?

Any idea at all if the blazer will be around for a while? Might be something to consider before you make expensive improvements that might not transfer over to your next car (HO alt, custom kicks, etc.)

Maybe comps and a comp amp, and mount them in the stock locations for mids, and just velcro the tweets if you dont have stock locations? That way you can avoid holes being left when you take them out.

(i have stock speakers lol)

Sort of answer your own question, then dont you?

Do the big three, if you only have minor dimming, it may do the trick, and wont cost very much. Id do that, and hold off on a battery, until you see if the big three takes care of the problem.

But yeah, Id go with comps/comp amp. Any ideas on those yet?

nope, i like the rockfars but are expensive... getting jl 6x9's.. was hoping for a little bit of mid bass from them but i doubt it

Do a proper front stage, ditch the rear fill....so goes the conventional wisdom....how much do you have to spend on speakers/amp?

100 bucks probably

$100 for speakers and an amp? Might be tough to get anything worthwhile, I would save a bit longer......itll be cheaper in the long run to get something good now, instead of getting some low grade stuff now, only to ditch those for better later on......

If you really want to do it now, Id suggest a pair of Cadence coaxials (theres usually some on ebay for less than $50) paired with a profile amp.....
