Team Sundown / Nemesis Steve is well above my score with less power also no-wall -- with two Nightshade 18s he is above 156 dB on just two 3500s (156.6 highest to date). More cone area for the win + Steve has spent ALOT more time with one setup than I have. I change the Jeep setup around almost weekly.

In all reality the box I used to do 155.9 is not very efficient so it did take alot of power to reach that point. It is very small, only 2.5 cubes per 15. I haven't put anywhere near that much power back in on any of my other more efficient boxes or I would be doing higher numbers today without a problem.

My single 15" box does a bit over 154 dB with four 1500Ds on 12v -- much more efficient (**).

Most efficient, though, is my four 12s box with four SA-12s... 153 dB with two 1500Ds on 12v.

** - Power to SPL in single 15" box :

148.4 -- 1250 watts

150.1 -- 2020 watts

150.8 -- 2530 watts

152.5 -- 3980 watts

153.1 -- 5350 watts

153.2 -- 5570 watts

I quit charting here - but you can get an idea... probably under 8kw to reach 154 dB with a single woofer.

But, as I said before... I primarily do SPL for R&D purposes. If I was trying to get the loudest score possible I'd spend more time on one setup -- but I need to test new products and different setups in order to gain the most information to share with customers about the products in various applications.

i can match the score w/ pr 12" & 2 40.1s. fla state finals i did 155.8 on the tl in super street no wall. but my setup is just a burp box. it will not play music. i am sure jacobs setup plays music. it is much more impressive to do the # on a setup that plays music as well as burp.
