highs arent as loud

Shouldn't, you probably just hear more bass than you were used to.

You hooked your subs to the same amp your speakers were on?

please elaborate

btw - where in south jersey ya at? I used to live in moorestown

Im right outside of salem. I know that it has a lot more bass but even with the gain all the way down their not as loud as before. Is it cause of the sub out rca's? I dont want to put an amp on ti for highs cause its just my work truck.

Ok, let me get your setup straight.

Your speakers are powered by your head unit.

You subs are powered by an amp.

Correct?

Connecting an amp to your headunit shouldn't take anymore power from it, unless it's a huge amp. How many watts is your amp rated for?

cheap suggestion - now that you have subs to cover the lows, take some of the bass out of the reg speakers by adjusting it on the headunit... should make them seem a bit louder
