i have a kenwood but i have the chance to pick up a brutus 1200 today but he told me that it was a two channel. i searched for it but i cant find the specs on it or anything else can someone tell me or tell me where to find the specs

I bet he says that because of the two sets of speaker terminals. Its still a mono amp, just two sets of terminals for wiring simplicity.

 
nowhere on there site shows the older models. they all are mono amps maybe he is mixed up cuz i saw it it said brutus but at the time i didnt really know what i was looking at until it was to late.

That depends on your subs, and what amp youre now using on them.

If you have 250 on each sub, and you go up to 500 on each with the hifonics, that wont double your output, no. Power doesnt work like that.

 
i got my kenwood wired to 1ohm but i want to wire the brutus to 1ohm so the kenwood is 500watts at 1ohm and the brutus is 1200 at 1 ohm and i have 2 type r's 12
