So I purchased a Hifonics ZXI6010 to power my CDT Audio CL-61A-25 Pro components. It is rated at 150RMS at 4 ohms per channel.
Now, I've heard Hifonics overrates their lower-end stuff, so I'm wondering if it would actually be safe to run the speakers at the rated 150RMS? I don't hear any distortion somewhere in the area of 144-150RMS (my DMM doesn't do decimals on AC), but I figure I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had experience with it just to be safe.
I was running it at 120RMS on the weekend when it was about 70 degrees out full tilt for an hour straight and it was hot, but not too hot to touch, if that helps any.
Thanks!
