It's usually the other way around. I don't see how a seller could be scammed unless he/she was dumb enough to ship before payment.

A guy from the UK won the bid, and then a day later I got an email from "paypal". It was a a very official looking email saying "you've got cash", but then went on to say that due to increasing fraud from overseas, they need me to send them the tracking number before they'd release the funds. I didn't bite.

I was a seller and got hit BAD. And I shipped after several email exchanges and after I received payment. Two months later my money was gone.

Let me give all sellers some advice. . . .Do NOT take patpal unless the buyer has a verified account and you ship to the verified address. Do not ship to a non verified address under any circumstances. It is so easy for the buyer to reverse the charge and screw you out of your money unless he is verified and you ship to his verified address. Cost me $850 to learn the hard way. . .

Paypal is still a bunch of ******* against big credit card companies... i sold and shipped an orion 2500d to a verified address/member... got a chargeback, provided my tracking number and still lost... **** them.

but it's just so **** easy to use it!
