HIFONICS "Brutus" BX12D4 or Alpine SWR 1042D, which sounds better?

I got about 3 hrs to choose as I'm leaving town and they are both for sale locally. And they are REALLY good prices. The Brutus' are more than the alpine's though....of course...plus they have 100 more rms than the alpine's (200 more rms in all)

Which do you guys think has the better quality?

Anyway, POWER aside, which one SOUNDS better,crisper, cleaner ?

*EDIT: Also...does the size of the sub really matter? the alpine's are 10s and the hifonics are 12s....but I dont think it matter, but let me know

im not looking for louder actually.

i wanted to know which 1 sounded better as far as quality(clean, crisp, not much distortion) when it hits....

do the hifonics sound good with deep bass?
