Hifonics Colossus: Thoughts & Opinions

Like the title says...

I'm looking for all the info I can get about this amp. I'm considering getting one. Thread open to thoughts and opinions about the amp.

Also... If you recommend anything better, let me know.

never used one, but higher end hifonics are supposed to be very good... if you can get one for a good price with warrenty, go for it

i got one. very good amp. haven't really seen it at it's full potential. i know they're underrated though.

unless your getting a hell of a deal on it...

get something else.

my preference's for 3000w or so at 1 ohm:

AB 200.1

rf t3001

kicker 2500.1

strapped DD m1's

just to list a few...

the hifonics big power amps are all power hogs...

definitely not my idea of a very good amp, unless your on a budget... and even then you will have to buy more electrical to compensate for the amp...

which costs you more $$ to power it correctly...

ps: my buddy had a goliath for street beat comp's. it was ridiculous with all the electrical he had to run...

then he got a more efficient amp and he didn't see as much drop in voltage from system...

the 200.1 was around 1k I believe....

call bob and ask...

If you call and look around you can find good deals....

I have no clue what msrp is if that's what you mean...

Update: I got to test today with my buddy's colossus and it was a 1.5 db louder than the kicker 2500.1 @ 1 ohm on 2 cvx 12's

colossus was 152.3

kicker was 150.8

I have had 3 Hifonics amps and I've been more than happy with all of them. The only reason why I have gone though different amps is because I wanted more power.
