<---Old tempo setup, lol
Hey guys, finally got everything installed and was happy to check out my car system. It's pretty loud, not the loudest that I've had in the past (circa 99-01 time), but it's a good start.
Was checking, though, to make sure that my subs were hooked up properly because it didn't seem to be as loud as it should be...2000 watts is alot (well, to me it is). The subs are 2 12" Type X's which are in a sealed box. Each sub has a little over 1ft3. They're wired to 1 ohm...well, thought they were anyway.
Checked the amp while the system was playing and it was pretty steady at 3-4 ohms. I know the impedance will change with music and stuff, but didn't think the difference would be that high. 1 ohm is VERY different from 3-4 ohms, especially when my amp is supposed to be putting out 2000 watts RMS...which it definitely ISN'T at 3-4 ohms.
Overall, the system is clean for what it is...my two 12" RF Punch DVC's ported through the rear deck were just as loud back in the day...and that was off of a punch 800a2 (lolz)
Curious to hear what you guys think.
