Why?? 2 Type R's on bxi1600 Should be rockin.. Whats up?

When I had it set up before my lights dimmed whenever the subs hit. I'm not sure what I have to buy to fix that but I've read that alternators or batteries would be the way to go. Instead of spending money on all that I'm trying to lower the watts I use... :/ Probably a bad idea...idk.

like i said man let me know in a pm the lowest price youd ship to MD zip 21040 i should have the money hopefuly monday at the latest it should do good to push my HDC3 15 with 1600Watts lmk interested here thanks

When I had mine setup though they didnt seem like they were hitting all that hard...i had 2 12" MTX 200 rms at 4 ohms hitting about as hard as they were and I had the type r's wired to 1 ohm 1600 rms.
sealed box? ive heard ported really wakes up the type Rs compared to sealed

Well thats another reason...my trunk is small...my last box was 14" height and was horrible to put in and take out. So the subs will have to be facing up if I go ported and the depth will have to be huge.
you don't need to go ported to get loud with two r's. I don't understand why you don't want the lights to dim though, it's gonna happen until you upgrade.

your alt can handle 1000 watts man, and even more. Keep em wired to 1 ohm and turn the gain down a little bit on the amp and it will be perfect. You must have a problem with your ground or something if your subs aren't hitting hard, it's not the box.

What is your pre out voltage on the head unit, and what is your amp gain set at?

5 volts I think

Level I had set at about 3-4 volts

Phase is at 90

Base Remote and everything else is set at about halfway

Not sure how the ground could be bad if my old subs hit good which were only running 125 rms x 2 channels.

i'm guessing 3.5 volts then. Set your gain higher if you want more output since you have a 5 v head unit. Or less if you are dimming and want less power.

First you say you don't want the dimming, then you say your subs don't hit hard. I'm confused to what you want to do now.

Turn the phase down to 0... you don't need... A Extra little battery in back will get rid of most the dimming for 1600watts And make a CRX style box.. Subs up port back... Then you be slammin...
