Hifonics BX1500D vs. JBL BP1200.1

Which would you use to run 2 12in L7s @ 1ohm and why?
Correct me if i am wrong, but i was always under the impression that hifonics is a flea market co?

i wouldn't go as far as saying flea market, but they aren't great. jbl imo. i've heard the jbl puts out about 1300 watts rms and the hifonics will give you around that much. also the jbl also offers more flexability by putting out the same power at 2 ohms as well.

At 14.5 volts the Hifonics will do high 1400s. As your voltage drops, the output will drop significantly with the Hifonics. But it doesn't pull much current so I never saw less than 14 volts when driving, 13.4 at idle. The JBL will do between 1200-1300 from 13.5-14.5 volts. The Hifonics comes with a remote bass knob and subsonic filter, and it looks a LOT better than the JBL. I'd get the Hifonics, and I've used both amps in different installs.

P.S. Hifonics makes some top notch competition amps, there is no way you can call them flea market. The Brutus series combines reliable performance and good looks for a very low cost.

Yeah i plan on using it stricktly at 1 ohm , so my real question is, will the hifonics put out 1500 at 1 ohm with the right amount of voltage?
nope. Get the JBL awesome amp i still own mine and im going on 3 yrs with it and hasnt given me a problem yet

ok, after doing more and more research, i see that neither of these amps are as great as i thought.

I am looking for an amp that will put out 1500wats rms at 1ohm for $200 give or take, i was looking at CD-2410 but i dont know much about Concept nor have i herd of them before. Opinions experiences? stuff for sale?

You better up that to at least $300. For those L7s you want more like 2000 watts RMS total. The JBL and Hifonics amps are the cheapest reliable sub amps that will get you over 1000 watts RMS. You may be able to find an Orion HCCA 250G4 on here or carsound.com. I know the pro-rabbit guy on here had a 250R for sale and they really do around 1200 watts RMS at 1 ohm. The next step up is the Orion 275G4 that will do 1600-1900 RMS but the cheapest you'll find them is 325 plus shipping.
