500w peak, 250w rms. 10 inch. 4 ohm dvc wired at 1-ohm

500 watts is about all the "clean" power you can expect to receive out of that amp anyhow, but it should be fine for you! The only downside is I think that particular Hifonics amp is Class AB and will probably run hotter than a Class D amp rated to give you 500 watts @ 1 ohm. If a cheap amp is what you are after, then go for it.

i thought the 608 is D class, no?

some places say it is, and other places say it's class a/b. the new 610 on the hifonics site is class a/b

The BXi 608 is listed as Class AB in the Hifonics Owner's Manual.
