This amp is BRAND SPANKIN new.....but straight out the box, it was always in protection mode! This belongs to a friend and he bought it off of an ebay company and they won't even accept the amp back!

He's taking it as a lose. Anyhow, the amp has been out the box for a matter of a few hours....basically a brand new amp! It may be a quick fix for someone.

Amp is rated at 2600 wts at 1 ohm and 1700 at 2 ohms.

Price is $200 SHIPPED and covers paypal fee also! Again, first come first serve! No "dibs"!

what subs was he running off it, and what was the load he had it wired to?

I think he did call Hifonics and they feed him some BS about reseting the amp and it should work...and they said something about "jumper cables"......I kid you not! Still, you shouldn't have to do ANYTHING except for wire up the amp once you buy it....especially brand new. That's totally crazy.

We had it wired to 2 ohms but again, it NEVER played a single bass note. No sound, ever from it....time it comes on, the green light is on for a second or two then it goes straight to protection mode (red light). We took out the amp and popped in a 9.1 and the 9.1 runs flawlessly.

It was going to push 2 18" RE HC's (d2's and wired to a 2 ohm load). I'd just finished the enclosure and wired up the subs and then the amp was DOA basically!

Here's a few pics of the setup (sorry, no amps in the pics. Will get them for seriously interested buyers as my friend still has the amp and we don't live that close to each other, lol!
