I have a Hifonics 1605, 1600x1 @ 1, 1100x1 @ 2.

Here is the deal on the amp. It worked fine when I took it out. I sold it to a member on here and he said it sounded like it had some white noice coming from the subs. I never noticed this but it is possible it was damaged in shipping or it was an issue with the car. I refunded the money as he said he tried different things to stop it.

During this time I traded cars and now have a virgin car I do not feel like tearing into atm. This being said, I do not have a way of knowing if the issue is in the amp or his vehicle. He did say it might be ok in a different vehicle or it might not be noticeable if it is in the trunk.

In any case it is just sitting in my garage now. I am willing to take a big loss on it given the situation. If it works with no issues then you are in good shape. If it has rto be fixed you would probably still be in good shape.

I will start at $100, make me some offers.

I can get you some, probably tonight. Physical condition is pretty good. It is missing 1 mounting foot, but it is just metal strapping so you could make another pretty easily. It has the usual scratches from installing/removing. Probably a 7-8 of 10.

Who was the member you sold it to and refunded? Cause if they could give us some input on the condition of the amp, that'd be freakin sweet. I'd like to pick up this amp, to tear apart and learn about amps.

Hey guys, I'm the one who bought and got refunded on the amp. First off:

THE AMP WORKS ... but

I was getting some low white noise and the occasional whine on top of that. Independent of volume or gain. Sort of sound like an old army radio when no one is transmitting. This happened no matter what I did. I ran new grounds. I tried different rca's, some had more noise some had less. It even had noise without any rca's plugged in. Idk why this was happening. It might be my vehicle/install but it was making noise with no rca's plugged in.

Despite the noise the amp worked fine. Gain was responsive like normal and it was pounding the sub. This noise may not be noticeable in the trunk of a daily car (I tested with a sub in the cabin of my stang). Especially with roadnoise.

dacheatham was patient through all of this and gave me an immediate refund before i even shipped it back.
