Hi, I'm new here with a quistion

I have an Alpine S920hd head unit connected to amps for my door speakers, rear deck and subs. When i turn the volume up to 0 to 20 the sound increases as normal, but anything past 20 all i get is an increase in volume from my subs. and i think i have had this same scenario from other alpine hu's in the past. I set my gains with a dmm at about 25 but of course I am not getting the output past 20. I reset my gains at 20 since this seems to be the max volume for the mids and highs and they play a lot louder with the gains set at 20. I dont get it. Any Ideas?

Turn your subwoofer level down on your hu and possibly increase the highs amp gain a little more ?

Thanks for the reply. I really don't see how that would fix my problem or perhaps i didn't explain myself well enough. From 0 - 20, the volume increases normally. From 21 - 35, there is no increase in volume from my mids and highs. Boston pro60se and infinity kappa 6x9 on a PDX-F6. Could it possibly be my RCA cables?
