wassup peoples, just found out about this place and i decided to join in and learn some stuff......about car stereo's................for a system i have a 12 inch loaded btl (the new design) and 2 mtx ta81001's..alpine head unit pheonix gold line driver infinity kappa all around powerd by an mtx ta3404..all in a nissan frontier... i did 142 on the tl sealed at the a pillar.... i am a mechanic ASE certified and i work for VW so i may know some stuff bout that also..... well my first question is i wanna get rid of my amps and pick up a single amp for my btl..... here are my options..... thor xx $500.......(new) sundown 3000d 775 shipped....(new) vfl 500.1 1200 shipped.... well i curently do not have enuff money for the vfl. and probebly wont for a little while. so i was leaning more towards the sundown.....i can get that as soon as sell my amps....i wanna sell them locally for 600 bought from authorized dealer and i am the original owner....what do you guys think???

so what is the line drive doing for you

dual 2.....and the line driver is boosting the sub rca's cuz the alpine barely puts out 1 volt and i have 2 split that between 2 amps wich makes me have to turn the gains up to match the voltage atleast with the line driver i set it at 5 volts and i can have the gains low to match the input.......so any recomendations as far as the vfl or the sundown........note i dont have a ho alt im gonna get a different car in the nex couple of months so i figure why waste 400 ona an alt thats only going to get traded in.......
