HEY MODS: Can you add make people verify before posting in old posts?

Having pictures of old amp guts is a big PRO. There's definitely reasons for people to bring em back. Maybe it's just me, it just seems like four out of five times, its a new person with a really stupid question, or more often trying to help someone figure out something simple from 9 years ago.

There is no such thing as a stupid question to the one asking it. It is merely a lack of knowledge or understanding. To you it may seem stupid but that is because you have already mastered that information, but none the less you gained that by first asking about it.
As for those newbs advising on an old thread, they just want to help. They are excited about their newfound knowledge and experience and want to spread the love. Same as all of us regulars, except we already know the OP post date is on the top left corner.

I added a checkbox to force a member to acknowledge that the thread is probably older than are before posting in it.

Amp with DSP suggestions

Hey everyone I'm currently in the market for a DSP. Was wondering if I should get a stand alone DSP or one thats built into the amp. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

It’s possible to close threads older than 5 yrs or however old, so no one can post a new reply. Since the other option didn’t seem to work at all, that may be the best alternative.

That strikes me as overboard. We'll probably survive if a thread or two every week comes back from the dead.
