a stock 240 ran anywhere from a 15.8-17.3 that is slow. now if you're talking stock why is it people have to legitimize their ride by saying "my 12yr old 240 with a SR20DETT will **** your stock Z28 camaro."

maybe an older style one but definetly not the new one. new GT's run 13's so i can't see a car a full second slower keeping up.

because a 240 stock will **** just about any pre 05 stang (i only say this because i have not personally raced or witnessed a race between a 240 and a new stang) on just about any road course.

This is coming from a mustang and 240 owner. Although there really is something about that sound of a v8 that you just can't replace.
