What's your budget? You can dump a lot of money quick. Look for used deals.

I'm planning on just a good daily system right now, not getting into the really expensive stuff yet haha. I've got a few sets of rockford t1 6.5 components, rockford punch 400.4 and an old alpine 1000.1 so i plan on doing the speakers and 4 chan along with sound deaden the floor/roof/doors and hatch on my pathfinder and I'm shopping for a decent sub now. looking at an hds315 in a big ported box, previous systems were single type r 12 sealed on 1k with type r 6.5 on 400w, single RF p3 15 ported on 1k with RF t1 6.5s and the p400.4 and 4 rockford t1 10s and a t2500.1 with t4 6.5s and t800.4. ill be building my own box and doing all the install myself, just got out of the military and i have a lot on my plate right now so I'm just gonna buy a sub $200 woofer and build a box and use my old equipment for now lol

Look into FU Audio 750-15. $189 shipped, and can take a beating ... 2.75" vc made in US, subs built in US. Will take more than rated power, in proper box,with un-clipped power.

I also used to race, car is on moth balls for now....

that looks pretty beefy! and gotta love american made lol. I'm really having a hard time deciding on subs... i know it doesn't really matter at the power I'm giving it and the money I'm willing to spend I'm guessing they are all gonna be pretty similar. top choices are hds315 (curious to try it, heard good things about it) p3 15 (had it, liked it) or maybe something different, fi has some cheap lines (ALPHA and X) that i was considering. idk i kind of want to get away from the mainstream stuff if theres better bang for my buck with another brand. i currently work at a shop that sells rockford and alpine so i get discounts but again I'm wanting something else lol
