EVERY choice one makes has consequences.
Given what I know, I wouldn't say making choices without considering the consequences has maximized not your quality of life.

I did not say I didnt consider my consequences on a personal level with myself. However, I do not turn to a second set of rules a man made for me to blindly follow to get eternal life that again is all based on non factual writings.

that's it that's it right there. on one hand the non-believers in the house will use the Bible as a "shield" saying the believer needs to abide by it then turn around and say "well i don't believe in it so don't bring that gibberish my way." I don't get why non-believers do that.

You see when the NEW testament put into play it talked of Jesus' Life and what he's done, and how he was nailed to the cross etc etc etc etc.....

ok anyway in the moment of his death and resurrection, Jesus pardon me....I thought it was the understanding that since we were on this idea here that he DIED for our sins...was nailed to a cross and rose again three days later!

So kill, steal, lie, cheat, hit someone....yell at someone, saying something mean, covet thy neighbors wife, take God's name in vain, don't listen/honor our mothers and fathers, on and on and on....has been forgiven, IF we ask and truely mean that we are sorry for sinning, that Jesus since dying for our sins, will accept our apology and forgive us our sins....

Anyway....................that being said...since that was the BASIS of the thread when you first asked your question....that really negates any of your comments on well what if so and so killed so and so or steal, cheat etc etc etc etc....

A California man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for running a Ponzi scheme that robbed 500 investors of $US32 million he used in part to fund his record company.

Henry Jones, 54, was sentenced in Los Angeles yesterday.

Two other defendants, a Portland, Oregon, man and a pastor from Perris, California, were sentenced in November to nine and 12 years respectively.

The three men solicited investments in a coal-mine venture and a purported transaction involving the sale of 20,000 tonnes of gold between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, prosecutors said. Conference calls on which the investments were solicited included group prayer and claims the gold transaction was "divinely inspired,'' prosecutors said.

About $US21 million of the investors' money was used for Jones's music business in Marina Del Rey, California, and to buy houses and sports cars, according to the statement. In all, investors lost $US28 million, prosecutors said.
