x2. I used to be a Pioneer fan, but the more stories I'm seeing is steering me clear of them. Ground issues, knobs falling off, etc. Their new lines look like shit anyway.

I'm eyeballing that 9887 as well.

I gave up on Pioneer with my last deck, seems they are getting made cheaper than the past. They look nice and have great controll, but what good is it when they take a crap or something like this happens.

Anyways I'd just like to say that me and my friends ride around LOTS and I mean LOTS in this car, and always are messing with my song or settings and cranking it. I think it took lots of abuse, but also think it should have lasted longer, it's been what less than 2 years? I'm gonna call pio up and ask if they got some knobs in stock...haha

You don't use your remote? I use mine for everything. Rarely does my faceplate on my 880 ever get touched.

Have had probably 10 Pioneer decks and never had 1 problem with them. My ex did though, but was a cheapie Pioneer.

Now Alpine is another story for me. Always having problems with Alpine decks.

In Pioneer's defense, I've never had any issues with my either one of my 680mp's knobs coming off, and I haven't had any grounding issues. They're probably one of the best for the price.
