Ok so I have two Diamond D3 12's and i want to wire them to a 1ohm load on my Kar 900.1D amplifier.

This is the wiring that they currently have (I bought them off craiglist) As you can see both channels on the sub are connected by red to red and black to black and then to the back of the sub box red to red and black to black. The same is true for the other sub and then red and black of one connector (on the back of the sub box) to 1 channel on the amp, and the other to the other channel.

Yes the amp is 1 ohm stable... 1000w RMS at 1 ohm...

also another question I am currently only running 8 gauge wire to the amp.. And i notice my headlights dim. but i have some leftover 8 guage wire if i just run another length for the power and the groun would that be the equivalant of 4 guage? But I guess i don't have fuse boxs for each length....

Anyway any help would bea ppreciated.

get atleast 4guage wire for your power and ground cables....possibly 2 guage, im not sure exactly for 1k watts. before you kill your amp.

-Get an IV needle and some surgical tubing (ok, not your usual household stuff, but get it anyway).

-Call all your friends and family to say good bye.

-Lock yourself in the bathroom

-Start your IV in your leg (femoral artery works best) and connect tubing.

-Now (here's the tricky part) feed the open end of the tubing down the toilet drain till it goes past the trap.

-Now take a deep breath and flush the toilet.

-You'll be gone before you can fully exhale.

hahahaha.... i love getting flamed.......

I seriously do because thats just the best way to learn.

So cliff notes...

I am retarded probably inbred for three generations. My 8 gauge wires aren't worth shit. I should just put the subs back and get on with my non existent life because a 1ohm load right now would kill my amp?

if those subs are dual 4 ohm its a easy job.

Connect all + terminals together and to the + terminal on the amp.

Connect all - terminals together and to the - terminal on the amp.

There you go, 1 ohm mono.

Now if there Dual 2 ohms, your gonna have problems, not familiar with your subs and too lazy to search them out for someone else's system

As for the lights dimming and the wire you are running to your amp. 8 ga. can work, though I would grab a cheap 4ga kit to meet your needs:

should work fine.

As for the dimming, that has to do with the cars charging system.

step 1. Try a good battery

step 2. perform big 3 (read the sticky)

step 3. High output alternator

step 4. Realize you fail and give up on car audio?

ouch... get new subs or (NOT RECCOMENDED) ghetto rig it and only use one terminal from each sub.

Let me clear this up...

Best bet, get a amp that puts out max power at 2 ohm, or get new subs (dvc 4 ohm to get 1ohm)
