hertz

Couple of questions, I was wondering what hertz to tune my fi team 18 at and is 7 cubic foot box a good size? My other question is I bought a colossus 3200 to push this woofer and will that be enough to make it hit pretty hard?

7 cubes net is fine and is also on fi's website. What to tune you box to depends on what you want out of the sub. Your amp will make noise but will not push the sub hard. Before you ask what would I recommend saz 5k. Do a little research and you can all of this and more. Hope your electrical is up to par btw

Well I know the 3200 isn't hitting the rms the sub deserves but figured it was still going to hit pretty hard, it's still 3k of power. I do want to look into a bigger amp but was just on kinda of a budget. My stock alt is 130 amps and I bought a 1200 Wat kinetic and of course going with 0 gauge, I have been told I should be fine but if not plz let me know.

With 3200wrms your going to need more power. What you have with 130amp alt is enough to hold over a 1200-1500wrms amp. Adding a battery is useless unless your alt can keep up. You will need to get an HO alt.

Well I have a brutus 2000 on my L7s and there is no change in my electrical so figured adding a battery I should be ok. I have seriously thought about a 220 output alt just to be safe, I just want to know ifi will be alright till then.

So just an update, installed a 300 amp alt and got the big 3 done. Did 6 cubic ft on the box and tuned it to 30 hz. Pounds like no tomorrow but still want to get the Sundown saz 5000d on the FI team 18. I'm loving it!! Oh and put alpine type r components and memphis mojo bullet tweeters with fosgate p400.4 in the Acura also.

I had a shop install everything but I'm concerned about the port demensions, 6 cubic ft box tuned to 30 hz... does anyone know what the size of the port should be by chance?
