Hertz ESK 165 or JBL GTO 609c?

Hi guys,

here in Italy they cost the same (130 E) so I was wondering which one would be best!

I'd mount them on my Smart Mhd, with a Pioneer DEH1500UB head and amplified by an archeological Proton CA430 (4x30Wrms - it won't be able to fully power them, but that's what I've got atm //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ) to listen progressive/trance mostly.

ps: I know 608c comes way cheaper and it's practically the same as 609c, but that's in the US.. here I haven't managed to find them at good prices.

I've personally heard both and thoroughly enjoy the ESK better (especially if you can get teh ESK165L - i have a brand new set if you want them). Nevermind build quality - i've seen so many of the JBL (and their Infinity counterpart) have their terminals rust out and/or seize from normal humidity (water was blocked from getting to the speaker).
