Medical marijuana grower shoots, kills robbery suspect | azfamily.com Phoenix

Cliff - guy grow weed get robbed kills one robber -

PHOENIX - Details are unraveling about a Thursday afternoon shooting in central Phoenix where one man was killed over a medical marijuana deal gone bad.

Investigators have determined that a 30-year-old Hispanic male was issued an Arizona Medical Marijuana Identification card on May 25. The card allows the man to cultivate and possess marijuana. He began advertising medical marijuana for sale to those who had a medical marijuana identification card.

On Thursday, two black male suspects contacted the grower and arranged to meet at an apartment complex near 17th and Missouri avenues to make the purchase.

The grower asked to see their medical marijuana identification cards and one of the suspects indicated that his card was in his apartment, luring the grower to the back of the complex.

Once they three men were inside the apartment, suspect Larry Miller, 38, pulled out a gun and attempted to rob the grower of his marijuana.

A struggled ensued which resulted in the grower retrieving his own gun and shooting Miller.

The second suspect, a black male in his mid 20s, fled the area with grower's backpack which is believed to contain marijuana.

The grower called 911 and provided aid to Miller until paramedics arrived. Miller was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The grower, whose identity is not being released, was questioned and was later released.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office is reviewing the legal circumstances of the fatal shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.

Told you legalized weed would increase crime.
>implying that the robbers wouldn't have robbed someone else if it wasn't legalized. I realize you're trolling, though. All in good fun.

That's the biggest problem with drugs. There is SO much crime associated with them. I lean toward decriminalizing marijuana... but this is the chief argument against it.
This isn't the chief argument against decriminalizing marijuana. This is the chief argument for decriminalizing marijuana. The crime associated with marijuana is because it's so popular, and because it's the black market. There is SO much more crime associated with other drugs like cocaine, and heroin. Marijuana hasn't been decriminalized because of the idiot conservatives who think it kills people, and the presidents are afraid of pissing you lovely conservatives off(because, after all, there are more of you than there are of people with logic).

I understand you said you lean toward decriminalizing marijuana, but the fact that you make it such an issue in the first place is the problem. It's a plant, just like tobacco, only it makes you feel good and it's more expensive because it's illegal.

A street seller would not have been stupid enough to go back to the apartment with them.
Your attempt at point out a troll has failed. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
But you are a troll. And you were trolling. But you're right, a dealer knows how to watch his back.

At least the guy had a gun. I would've definitely chased after the other one and shot him.
