The more I look at other people's glassing jobs the more I realize door pods would be better for my XXXs and I'd keep my foot room. As for mounting on the dash, I may have to go that route. I was wrong about the crossover point too. The xxx mids only like to play up to around 1.2khz @ 24db/octave so yea, I'd have to cross anything else pretty low.

yea, i used xxx mids a while back and i didnt like the sound with them crossed over above 1k

I forgot to add, You can mount these in a 4 inch pvc elbow with a sealed back. It ends up being the perfect airspace after you cut them and look pretty good if you paint them.
