whatever

do i need and alt?

what size?

Price range( so idont get ripped)?

this sucks

i am broke

thanks for all the replys.

If you installed a brand new fully-charged battery and it died in half an hour having no other info than what you've provided I would say yes, you need an alternator.

What size, etc you need will be entirely dependant on what vehicle you drive and what aftermarket gear you're running in it.

Not all vehicles have a direct-replacement HO alternator available. You may have to take it to a rewinder and even then some vehicles' alternators do not have the rebuild kits available to upgrade them from stock output.

Could you provide a bit more info, please? It'd make a world of difference in the ability for us to give you an educated response.

1998 honda civic.

it has OEM alt which is 75 amps

and a fully charged brand new battery died after 30 minutes.

the ga. on my amp said 11.OV. five measly minutes later it said 6.5V then the amp turn off. the car was idling.

it just seems like the battery isnt charging at all.

125 rms x 4 , and 250 rms x1
