Helping a friend find a new car

A friend of mine recently lost control of his 01 civic and has about 8k to spend on a new car. Hes interested in imports and has to be a manual ******. I found these 2 cars locally on craigs list but dont know much about them as far as issues and reliability.

this ones over priced according to kbb, so I could probably talk him down less.

why imports he should go with a muscle car you get alot better power for the price, you save on repair cost cause you can do it yourself, and if he losses control of it he wont have to get a new car just a new body panel but that just my opinion

Nothing wrong with muscles cars, but it wouldent be my DD especially with most of the ones in his price range being gas hogs. Plus even a muscle car wont withstand a roll over, which happened to him, and just need a body panel.

oh dang dint know it rolled on him that sucks my bad, but its not true about all of them being gas hogs my brother had a 77 nova with a straight6, mild cam, and a 1 barrel carb and it went pretty fast and got hella good miles to a gallon

he should look at some of the new toyota.to spend almost 8g's on a car that has 100,000 +miles is not good. i bought a gas friendly car. and it sucks. i bought a ford. take him around and see what some dealers have as far as trade ins.

no no im saying go see what other people have brought in. i have found out thats a good thing.i went to a used car lot. a bad idea this is the second time i got ****ed over. let him see what the new car lots got. most of the used lots buy there cars threw the new lots. he shouldint just look for little hondas. if to young guys go there the sales mens gona take him for all his money. im a young guy i had the last place try to sell me a 2 door probe. his sales pitch was all the young guys drive these cars.

15 mpg is not "hella" good ...
