Help? Please?

Hey everyone im new to the forums, first off id like to say hey =D

but here ismy problem, i have a 400w RMS Dual amp, a 12' subwoofer bridged to that. im using a Scosche FM transmitter to play music off my phone. oh yeah.. the subwoofer is hooked up in the cab in my truck right behind the driver seat.

my problem is it doesnt seem to be bumping that much.. my buddy had 1 12' boss subwoofer and a 400w amp but it seemed to hit ALOT harder than mine. but he had his in the trunk of his car..

i can feel the subwoofer hitting. and im kind of a ***** because i blew my old ****** wanna be subwoofer before. im kinda new to stuff like this too...

thanx guys/gals.

Which rca's? Multiple sets of outputs on that headunit? *could be wrong set*

How is amp set? *Low pass? X-over point? Gain? could be wrong

How is it wired? @ what ohm load? could be wired @ 8 and amp isn't doing squat for power

Is box leaky? could be losing output

Ummm left and right rcas and only 2 inputs for rcas on the head unit. The x over is set to lpf for low pass. And the gain is like 75 . The ohm load is 4 im prettty sure since its 1 12 bridged. And its wired with a 600w wiring kit.. idk what else to do :/

does it sound bad on cd too? cant really compare a truck environment to a car. more room prob a bigger box enough room for the sound to unfold. try to hook up sub in a friends car and see if it will actually hit. what kind of sub is it? double check ohm of sub. make sure you have amp bridged properly.

ok.. well its like this, there are left and right positive and negative ports. i hooked the right positive to the left negative.
On the sub? Sounds like series. What impedance is each voice coil? Are they both 2 ohm or both 4 ohm? And what's the lowest resistance your amp will handle?
